Gauche is my online home — a place to hang my hat, show my work, write about design, and meet people to work for or with.

MANIFESTO
Exceptional design isn’t about making things look pretty. It’s about making things more accessible, efficient, intelligent, relevant, honest, and more emotionally engaging. My goal is to connect hearts and minds to ideas — to your brand.

THE RULES
1. Put every idea down on paper. Then recognize that the first 20 might be crap.
2. Work hard for the good of people.
3. Honesty matters. Always.
4. Think in questions. Ask the important ones.
5. Keep learning. No one likes a dolt.
6. Surround yourself with creative people. Then go for a beer.

STEPHANIE HORN / DESIGNER
After receiving formal training in Swiss design, I entered the workforce with a passion to make great things. I gained experience in web/mobile/app design, print production, company branding, design for non-profits, in-house design, freelance and church marketing. I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona with my Corgi, Duncan.

Stephanie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from the College of Design at Arizona State University. She has had her work featured at Fractal, Cartel and Phoenix Design Week and has also spoken at Ignite Phoenix 6 and 7. Stephanie was awarded the ASU Provost Scholarship and was awarded the National Bronze Medal in Advertising Design at Skills USA 2005.
